Professor Giorgio Riello

Giorgio Riello is Professor of Global History and Culture in the Department of History, University of Warwick.

Since 2010, Giorgio has been the Director of the Pasold Research Fund. The Fund was established in 1962 by Eric Pasold, owner of the brand Ladybird, to support research on textiles and their history. The Pasold funds research, publications (a OUP series of books), and the publication of the journal Textile History. The Fund has an endowment of just over £1 million.

Giorgio is also currently the co-director of Warwick’s Global History and Culture Centre.
